Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is Reisedokus Gerald Amrhein (owner Gerald Amrhein, address above; contact: info@sd-migrator.de, see also Legal notice).
Hosting and server logs
The website runs on a dedicated virtual server provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, in a data centre in Berlin (Germany). A data processing agreement is in place with IONOS (Art. 28 GDPR).
With every request, the web server stores technically necessary information: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, status code, referring page and browser identifier. This serves secure operation, troubleshooting and defence against attacks (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are not combined with other data and are not analysed to identify visitors; they are deleted regularly.
Contact forms
If you write to us via the support or license form, we process your name, your email address, your message and the optional details (subject, program version, number of devices). The data is delivered as an email to our mailbox info@sd-migrator.de on the same server and used only to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for license and contract enquiries, otherwise (f)). We do not pass it on. We delete the emails once the enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Browser storage
The website remembers your choice between light and dark design in your browser’s local storage
(localStorage). This value does not leave your device and is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time
via your browser settings.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). An informal email to info@sd-migrator.de is sufficient. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority where you live.
The SD Migrator app
This policy applies to the website. The SD Migrator software runs on your own Raspberry Pi; recordings, settings and credentials remain on your device or with the cloud providers you set up yourself.
